ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR LIFE SUPPORT
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) refers to a set of clinical guidelines established by the American Heart Association (AHA) for the urgent and emergent treatment of life-threatening cardiovascular conditions that will cause or have caused cardiac arrest, using advanced medical procedures, medications, and techniques. ACLS expands on Basic Life Support (BLS) by adding recommendations on additional medication and advanced procedure use to the CPR guidelines that are fundamental and efficacious in BLS. ACLS is practiced by advanced medical providers including physicians, some nurses and paramedics these providers are usually required to hold certifications in ACLS care. This is essential for healthcare professionals who manage cardiovascular emergencies. This course equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to enhance patient outcomes during critical situations.
TUITION: $210
PROGRAM DURATION:
4 hours (Online and Hands-on combined) using state-of-the-art simulators.
Class Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:30AM – 7:00PM
REQUIREMENT
- Current AHA BLS (CPR) Certification
- Healthcare provider license (RN, MD, Paramedic, etc.)
STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
- Advanced airway management
- Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Effective communication as a team member and leader in a resuscitation team
- Management of acute coronary syndromes and stroke
- Pharmacology relevant to ACLS
- Post-cardiac arrest care
Students will take the AHA ACLS Certification Exam upon completing the course.
