They are critical in delivering quality patient care across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics.
TUITION: $2800
The tuition fee includes all required costs, including a $150 registration fee, online course tuition, clinical training fees, and necessary class materials. Students must purchase navy-colored scrubs separately for clinical training. Additionally, the BLS certification is not included in the tuition fee and must be obtained separately.
The total tuition for the Patient Care Technician program is $2,800, which includes a $150 registration fee, $1,950 course fee, $440 lab fee, $60 for liability insurance, and $200 for the textbook.
PROGRAM DURATION:
4-6 months (30 weeks long, 400 hours), including 360 hours of online course and 40 hours of clinical practice (8 days).

Program Overview
PCT is a multi-skilled program combining training in CNA, Phlebotomy, and EKG. Students complete online coursework and attend skill lab sessions.
Online Learning
- Students may enroll and start anytime.

In-Person Skills Lab
Shared with Medical Assistant students:
- Every 2nd and 4th Thursday | 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
- Location: DMS Care Training Campus
- Focus: Hands-on training for blood draws, EKG setup, patient care skills.
Clinical (CNA Portion)
- Refer to CNA schedule above.
Admission Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- State-issued ID, passport, green card, or driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- High school diploma or GED (or graduating within 12 months).
- No immunizations required.
- Navy scrubs required for clinical and lab sessions.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
- Fundamentals of patient care and the role of the Patient Care Technician/Assistant
- Basic anatomy and physiology
- Infection control procedures and maintaining a sterile environment
- Proper techniques for assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- How to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) administration and interpretation basics
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques
- Proper use and maintenance of medical equipment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a healthcare setting
- HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Basic medical terminology used in patient care
- Principles of patient safety, including fall prevention and emergency response
